Tru Bahamian Food Tours
Bahamas
Is there any better way to finish a walking tour in a new place than with a satisfying serving of the local cuisine? Not according to Alanna Rodgers. Founder of Tru Bahamian Food Tours Rodgers has been using her local knowledge of The Bahamas and Bahamian food to show visitors how to get the best of both worlds.
Combining tasty dishes with informative cultural excursions, Rodgers and her team have made it their mission to give visitors the opportunity to have an authentic Bahamian culinary experience. Their work goes beyond service with a smile and a 'bon appétit'; tour guides give each of their guests the full low-down on each dish, including its origin and the local stories and traditions associated with it.
Tours take place Monday to Saturday, rain or shine. Participants can expect three to four hours of walking filled with informative facts about other local attractions, including architecture and monuments. Groups meet on George Street, just off of Bay Street. Be prepared to do just over one mile of walking.
