Surfer's Beach
Bahamas
Surfer's Beach, two miles from Gregory Town, North Eluthera, is the Mecca for surfing in the Bahamas and is famous for hosting wave riders from all over the world.
Unlike other surfing hot spots you won't have to fight to catch a good surf. If you are lucky some four-foot reef sharks will join you as you skate across the warm waters. But don't worry, these juvenile sharks are as harmless as puppy dogs.
Beat the winter time blues in your neck of the woods and visit the Bahamas. The best time to head down to Surfer's Beach is during the winter (from the end of September to late March). If you arrive during summer, you will enjoy still waters as the summer months tend to be flat and perfect for regular beach activities.
Gregory Town is also famous for hosting the island's annual Pineapple Festival during the summer months .
