Description
This tour offers a balanced experience combining history, culture, and local flavors suitable for all ages. It starts at the water fountain outside the Cruise Terminal, a convenient meeting point for guests.
The journey begins with a visit to Charles Town, including a chocolate factory and the only winery on the island where adults can enjoy free samples. Guests also visit the Gray Cliff Cigar Factory, linked to Al Capone’s history, and the oldest distillery on the island, established in 1789, offering complimentary samples of peanut coladas.
Next, explore one of the old British military forts and learn about the island’s past at the Queen’s Staircase. There is also time for shopping with local vendors for unique souvenirs.
The tour continues with a stop at the rum cake factory, featuring free tastings. Then, head east of Nassau to Fort Montague, where you can enjoy scenic beaches and sample local specialties such as conch fritters and fresh conch salad.
Throughout the approximately 2.5-hour tour, guides provide engaging, age-appropriate commentary to keep the entire family interested and informed. The tour concludes back at the starting point with time for questions and final information.
