Begin at The Bahamas Rum Cake Factory, located in Nassau’s city center, where you will sample their renowned rum cake. The factory has operated for over 20 years. Next, visit Fort Montagu on the eastern shoreline, built in 1741 with four cannons once used to defend against Spanish invaders.

Continue to the Queen's Staircase, a limestone staircase of 66 steps carved by slaves in the late 1700s. Capture photos and reflect on its historical significance. Then stop at Fort Fincastle, constructed in 1793 by Lord Dunmore to protect the city from pirates.

Visit Fort Charlotte, a British-colonial era fort over 200 years old that overlooks Nassau’s harbor and provided defense against invasions. Afterward, tour John Watling's Rum Distillery, established in 1789, and home to John Watling's Rum and RED TURTLE Vodka.
