Graycliff Hotel & Restaurant
Bahamas
A historical, hilltop mansion, two minutes from the heart of Nassau's city centre, Graycliff is a stunning staple in Bahamian fine dining and luxury accommodation. The five star restaurant and hotel has made a name for itself across the globe for its cigars, exquisite cuisine and elaborate wine cellar; stocking a total of 250,000 bottles.
The building dates back to the 1700s, when it was first owned by Captain Howard Graysmith; a pirate whose life was spared by a pardon granted from the Crown. These days, the regal home offers its guests a choice of 20 rooms, which range in size from 450 to 1,200 square feet. Just below, a comfortable sitting area and elegant dining room host visitors waiting to experience Graycliff's extraordinary culinary creations while savouring an aperitif or relishing one of its renowned cigars.
Finished with a touch of 17th Century Bahamian and European decor, Graycliff's menu compliments its architectural marvel with dishes of a Continental-Bahamian fusion. As would be expected from the world's third-largest wine cellar, its knowledgeable and friendly staff are happy to suggest a suitable bottle to make the most of your experience.
