Description

Begin with a brief training session to get comfortable on your Eco-Glide, a standing, motorized personal transporter that's safe and easy to ride. Once you're rolling confidently, your experienced local guide leads the way on a smooth, sun-soaked journey through the sights and sounds of Nassau. Make your first major stop at the historic Fort Charlotte, the largest fort in Nassau, built in the 18th century. Glide into the old limestone quarry and through the dry moat before parking your Segways for a narrated walking tour inside the fort. Learn about British colonial defense strategies, cannon placements, and underground dungeons, all while enjoying sweeping views of Nassau Harbor from the ramparts. Admission is included. Next, cruise along Long Wharf Beach, riding right beside the sand and sparkling turquoise water. Along this stretch, your guide will share insight into the history of the lighthouse and the new cruise port development. This scenic area is perfect for photos, so be sure to have your phone or camera ready. With sea breeze in your hair and panoramic views, this segment of the ride feels like pure island freedom. Make your final stop at Arawak Cay, also known as the famous “Fish Fry.” This is Nassau’s local hotspot for food and flavors, where the smell of grilled seafood fills the air. Ride through the colorful buildings and vibrant atmosphere before stopping at a charming air-conditioned restaurant for a local tasting experience. Enjoy 2 Bahamian conch fritters, 2 grilled glazed wings, 2 crispy fish fingers, and a refreshing cup of local Switcha (lemon-lime juice). Restrooms are available, and this is a great time to cool down and chat with your fellow riders before heading back to the base.
