Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort and Villas
Bahamas
Peace and quiet hasn't been the same since this resort first opened its doors. Down in sleepy Long Island, Cape Santa Maria has been showing visitors what relaxation is all about for years. With twenty beachfront bungalows and more than a few beachfront villas, the resort offers its guests luxury in the simplest form possible.
Sitting on what has been consistently voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Cape Santa Maria's guests have access to miles of powder-white sand and glassy, turquoise waters. In addition to kayaking and snorkelling along the shoreline, the resort also offers activities like SCUBA diving, fishing, and island tours. A particular highlight is the Sandy Cay Iguana Tour, which features a boat ride to nearby Sandy Cay - the filming site of Pirates of the Caribbean - where visitors will have the chance to meet and greet the island's local iguanas.
The Cape Santa Maria Beach House is the resort's main building, where guests can find an onsite restaurant and bar; in the evenings the Beach House becomes the heart of the cape's social life. On free days, take the opportunity to explore one of Long Island's many caves, visit the famous Dean's Blue Hole - the world's largest sink hole, or sightsee at the Columbus Monument.
