Description
This guided ATV tour explores Nassau’s natural beauty and rich history with an experienced local driver. The full itinerary includes stops at key cultural and historical sites around the city.
The tour begins at The Rum Cake Factory, where you can sample six different cake flavors. Next, visit the Queens Staircase, a 102-foot limestone staircase carved by slaves in 1793 and named for Queen Victoria’s role in abolishing slavery. Nearby is the historic Water Tower.
You will then stop at Tasty Teas, a family-owned shop offering organic teas made from Bahamian herbs, fruits, and spices. Passing Government House, the Governor-General’s official residence painted conch pink, you'll see one of the best examples of Georgian Colonial architecture in the Bahamas.
Fort Charlotte, covering over 100 acres and built between 1787-1790 to defend Nassau’s harbor, offers elevated views of Arawak Cay. Arawak Cay, named after the island’s original inhabitants, is known for live music and authentic Bahamian eateries.
The tour continues to the pirate-associated caves, now home to fruit bats, where you can explore stone stairs once used for storing rum barrels. Enjoy a traditional Bahamian lunch with a refreshing beverage before riding along the outskirts to visit Clifton Pier’s sandy beaches and arching Poinciana flowers.
The tour concludes at the Shore to Shore location, where local drinks are served to refresh you after the ride.
